From Bracelet to Doll headband3
I'm going to show you how I turned a bracelet into a headband, so you can do it too!
Supplies
First you need some supplies:
  • One of these inexpensive bracelets from WalMart. (A friendship bracelet or even ribbon works great too!)
  • Elastic for sewing (I got the 1/4 in. braided kind)
  • Sewing needle & matching thread
  • Scissors
  • Ruler (optional)
  • And, a parent/guardian to help you!
Bracelet
After I got out my supplies, I opened the bracelet and I snipped off the extra loop on the left, and cut off a half inch on the right.
Folding
After cutting a piece of elastic about 5 inches long, I looped it around the hole in the bracelet. I folded it about an inch.
Sewing more
Then I began sewing a few simple stiches to attach the elastic to the bracelet.
Fold over
Then I moved on to the other side...
Sewing
Almost finished...
Finished
And ta-daa! A new headband that can easily slip over my dolls head with the elastic.
Blue headband
Kit loved being my model! The headbands can be worn bohemian/hippie style or normally. :)
Heart headband
The heart headband is so CUTE!
